There is so much to see in the historic West End. It’s basically Dallas’ all-in-one tourist shop! There are stunning renovated brick warehouses, many dating back to the early 20th century. The West End is bound by Market Street, Pacific Avenue, and Woodall Rogers Freeway. The area is located south west of downtown. It’s a short walk from both Dealey Plaza, the 6th Floor Museum, and the Old Red Courthouse. Visit the Dallas World Aquarium for a day of exploring exotic birds and fish.
You’ll find Sonny Bryan’s Smokehouse for some good old Texas BBQ or Dick’s Last Resort, along with YO Steakhouse (don’t miss the banana pudding!). For some nightlife go to the popular West End Pub, or dance on over to the Mambo Cafe.
Living areas in the West End reflect the historic nature of the community. There is a lot of exposed brick, wood flooring, and spectacular views as you’re at the far end of downtown. Apartments here have a lot of character and it doesn’t take much to make them feel like home.
